I just thought of something, anyone else??
I just thought of how neat it’d be to have a chip in your dog ok well it can be the same little microchip but along with your information for contact it could read your dogs entire vet history! wowie dang, end of keeping up with all those tags! and everyone of importance would have a scanner to scan the dog to check it out and see if it’s UTD on shots and stuff instead of taking someones word for it and having to keep up with paperwork and junk u can just be all "scan my dog and see for yourself!" and if you ever lose your dog you can track it on a gps lol…… ohhhhh the technology!!!! I *KNOW* they CAN do it… it’s just a matter of WHEN they’re going to do all of this.. anyone else think it’d be neat? or is it creepy? cause i can kind of see the creep factor going on there "oh no tracking my dog on GPS next thing ya know they’ll wanna start microchipping kids"…….. but i’m not all opposed to that either….. cause if a kid gets kidnapped like a little baby you know…..
oh and no i wasn’t high! i was dying my hair though……… just beebopping along… doin my thang thinkin about my dogs…. and it hit me! wow i need to get that done to my dogs… i KNOW for a fact they have tried it on people 
maybe in a few years when they let out how far advanced the technology really is…

It has already been done. Infact I saw on Ripley’s Believe it or not about a Pomeranian who got lost but was reunited with its owner thanx to a chip that was transplanted in him.

its like having a bluetooth in your dog or a hp… but will it hurt the dog??? will dog risk getting dieseases from this being implanted in it??? wat if sum ppl cant afford it??

umm… I agree with moder…. were you high when you thought of this? Good idea though. And, you’re thinking of a sort of VERA-chip, only for a dog. They don’t have VERA chips in humans yet (at least I don’t think) but it’s exactly like that. Medical history, alergies, age, scanner, space age technology, blah blah blah…

yeah i just had a thought myself…im going to board a flite in an hour and was thinking-wat if it crashes on a deserted island and v r d lone surviviors…and than wierd things start to happen..and how v survive…oooh wat an adventure…but than again it would help in tracking us if the microchipping thing actually existed…

It’s really good idea but you don’t think somebody already came out with this idea with kids instead of pets? Starting with that technology, that means every pet store has to purchase a machine that can read the chips.
Dogs runs around anywhere. Chips can be easily damaged by cracking or water damaged.
but again, look at the military cards. They have this little chip inside the card where they keep the soldier’s information. Maybe you can get idea off from that. Good luck.
